Last Friday Danior was working in Costa Mesa so we thought it would be fun to meet up with him after work and go to Disneyland for a couple hours. While we were there we also met up with Dalen, Lisa, and Monroe. It had been a long time since Rebekah had seen her Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin. Monroe and Rebekah had tons of fun hanging out, holding hands to walk around, and riding some of the rides at California Adventure's Bug's Life Land.
Monroe played a carnival game at the boardwalk at California Adventure and won a little stuffed crab. She gave it to Rebekah... what a sweet girl. Who wouldn't want a cousin like that!!!
Dalen challenged his brother Danior to a basketball shoot-out at one of the carnival games. Here is a not-so-great picture of them preparing to shoot baskets. Danior missed both shots, but came really close hitting the rims on both shots. Dalen made his first shot, but missed his second. But, because he made his first shot, he won a stuffed animal. Monroe picked out a baby monkey wearing a diaper.
Dalen let Rebekah investigate the baby monkey before handing it back to Monroe. She squeezed and hugged the little monkey and didn't want to give it up. Luckily, she is young enough to be easily distracted by other things, so when the next distraction came up, the monkey got put away.
One of the rides we went on was the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride in Tomorrow Land. It's one of my all-time favorites because Danior and I can compete to get the higher score. (If you don't already know, Danior and I can be very competitive, but we have learned to tone it down since we have been married... now I mostly let him win... mostly) However, this time I think both our lazer guns were messed up. Neither of us got a very good score. Oh well. After the ride we took some pictures of Rebekah and Monroe in the gift shop with the Buzz Lightyear Mural.
Just a fun pic of Rebekah and Danior haning out at the warf in California Adventure. We had dinner at the restaurant there that serves soup in a bread bowl. The Corn Chowder is super good!!! I recommend it highly.
All in all we had a great time. We got home at 1am thanks to some freeway closures, but I got to sleep in until 11:30 the next morning, so it wasn't so bad. We are trying to plan a family vacation to go back in the next month or so and stay in a hotel down there for a couple days. If it pans out I'll have lots of fun pics to blog about. Hooray for Disneyland!!!
