...yah, our little man has decided he likes it too much inside. I think he wants to stay where it's warm and not have to bare the cold temps we are having (I know "cold" is a relative term to those of you who are enjoying snow).
So, at today's visit, I have now dilated to "a good 4cm" according to my Dr. I had a really painful pelvic exam where she tried to coax him to come out sooner rather than later. She says he is pretty low and can feel his head (thank goodness he's not breach). I have had a lot of false labor the last week, but I guess even that is progress. I have come to the conclusion that he will either be a definite Christmas baby, or I have an appointment to be induced next tuesday morning. My Doc thinks that he is definitley coming any minute... and may turn out to be a true Christmas baby. She did say that Santa comes to the hospital, so at least I'll still get to celebrate if I'm there. It would of course be nice to be at home with the baby for Christmas, but he has his own time table, and will come when he is good and ready.
The one comforting thing she said at my visit is that since I am almost half-way there already, the rest of labor should go fairly fast. Those of you who remember what happened when Rebekah was born, may recall that I was a 4 or 4.5 when we checked in to the hospital and she was born about 4 hours later. Considering I'm already at a 4, there is a good chance I will only be in "labor" for a couple hours. Yay!!! I'm not getting my hopes up though because I don't want to be dissappointed if it doesn't happen that way.
In case I don't get a chance to see you all on Christmas I wish you the Merriest one of all, and if I don't see you for New Year's have a good one!
XOXOXO

Baby is still simmering and the whole thing is still exciting. So if you are overdue, what does the baby countdown do? Does it go negative? Little Robert is probably still saying goodbye to his friends and family in heaven. Hopefully he is gathering genealogy data to bring with him.
Hey Katy! Sounds like you're having fun!!! Where are you and Dan living? Your little girl is darn cute. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. A Christmas baby sounds like a great present =)
Oh, you know what I think? Everyone I talk to says the 2nd child is the one that really gives them a run for their money! And add it being a boy on top of that, and you can spell lots and lots of active funness in your house! He's just starting all of the busy-ness early!
Wow, painful exam is probably right, you're a 4 already???
Sorry we missed you guys, after my surgery & the weather, it was a quick trip Thursday to Sunday in Anaheim only. Hopefully we'll get to see you soon though!
