We went to the Dr. this morning for Jonah's two week check-up. Thank goodness Danior was able to take the day off to come with us... I couldn't have done it without him. Jonah isn't gaining as much weight as the doc typically likes to see, but he said since he is gaining weight he isn't worried, I just need to feed him more often.
During the exam, the doc pointed out the poor little Jonah has a hernia. Danior and I were wondering about it, since we had noticed a bulge in his abdomen. We were sent downstairs to get an x-ray done on Jonah's abdomen just so the doc could make sure everything was alright. He told us that when babies are born, their stomach muscles aren't always completely fused in the center of their tummy's. This is the case with Jonah. Over time the muscles will fuse together. If not, some time down the line he will need surgery. For now there is nothing we can do but wait and see. At his next appointment in a month and a half the doc will re-evaluate.
Other than that, everything else is fine and he is doing well.

Aive had a hernia when she was born and it went away.

Does it give him an outie belly button? Both Isaac and Ethan have the little hernias.
